Notes

Single issue CD in jewel case of a ELO compilation for the Dutch market in 1994.

Despite the common EEC market, this album was meant exclusively as a Dutch product. The advert for LP and CD gift vouchers in Dutch on the booklet reverse made this all too clear.

Single CD in jewel case.

Disky Holland rush-released the album "The Best Of Electric Light Orchestra" DC 870042, in October 1996. Again a license product of EMI International Records, but this time "The Gold Collection" by EMI UK as above was used for the tracks.

Thus all song versions are identical to those of the UK edition.

Amazingly Disky thought the English Civil War and The Battle Of Marston Moor took place in 1964 !!

Track 9 on both the disc and back cover states "July 2nd 1964".

3rd issue, of the "Definitive Collection" was again re-released in 1998 in the series "Best Of The Best Gold". The newly mastered CD from 1995 was now pressed on a gold-disc instead of a silver one.

A window in the slipcase shows the golden CD, which was inserted upside-down into the CD-tray. The 4-page folder was inserted behind the tray into the slipcase to keep the golden CD visible.
