EMI sued CBS Europe and in February 1979 they won the case, so the EMI issued Albums "The Electric Light Orchestra" and "Electric Light Orchestra II" are not allowed to be released outside of USA and Canada on Jet Records, because EMI is still the music rights holder.
The injunction was granted by Judge Carter in the US Southern District court of New York. The decision followed action brought by EMI to protect its rights to the two albums for all territories outside of North America
Hence no more Jet or CBS/EPIC re-issues in Europe and the UK
